Hi, I'm Elaine Sharples, a freelance Typesetter and Mac Operator, specialising in page layout and text styling for print. I have worked on a wide variety of projects including novels, poetry, magazines, newspapers, brochures, catalogues, business stationery, business reports, maps and diagrams. I use QuarkXPress 9, Illustrator CS2, Photoshop CS5, Acrobat 7 and Microsoft Office 2011. My clients include publishing houses, businesses and self-publishers.

For Book Publishers

I deliver a prompt, accurate service and can either produce a design for you or work to your design template.

For Self-Publishers

I can take your Microsoft Word Manuscript and your images, design and format your book in QuarkXPress, then produce a print-ready PDF for you. I do not offer proofreading or editing services but can put you in touch with people who do.

For Businesses

I can design and/or format reports, produce charts, maps and diagrams. I can also design your business stationery, catalogues and leaflets and provide a consistent theme throughout.
